യുവേഫ പുതുതായി ആരംഭിക്കുന്ന യുവേഫ നേഷൻസ് ലീഗിനായുള്ള പോർച്ചുഗൽ ടീമിനെ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. യുവന്റസ് താരം റൊണാൾഡോ ടീമിലില്ല. സെപ്റ്റംബർ 6 ന് ക്രോയേഷ്യക്ക് എതിരെയാണ് പോർച്ചുഗലിന്റെ മത്സരം.

പോർച്ചുഗലിനായി ലോകകപ്പ് കളിച്ച ടീമിലെ മിക്കവരും സ്ഥാനം നിലനിർത്തി. വോൾവ്സ് താരം ജാവോ മൗട്ടീഞ്ഞോ ടീമിലില്ല. സിറ്റി താരം ബർണാഡോ സിൽവ സ്ഥാനം നിലനിർത്തി.
