റഷ്യൻ ടൂറിനായി ഒരുങ്ങുന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ അണ്ടർ 19 ടീം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. മുപ്പത് അംഗ ടീമിനെ ആണ് പരിശീലകൻ ഫ്ലോയിഡ് പിന്റോ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. മലയാളികൾക്ക് സന്തോഷം തരുന്ന കാര്യമെന്തെന്നാൽ ഈ 30 അംഗ ടീമിൽ അഞ്ച് മലയാളികളാണ് ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ളത്. അടുത്ത കാലത്തായി ആദ്യാമായാണ് ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ സ്ക്വാഡിൽ ഇത്രയും മലയാളികൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നത്.
ഗോൾ കീപ്പർ സച്ചിൻ സുരേഷ്, ഡിഫൻഡർമാരായ ഷബാസ് അഹമ്മദ്, മുഹമ്മദ് റാഫി, മധ്യനിര താരങ്ങളായ സനൂപ് ചന്ദ്രൻ, മുഹമ്മദ് ബാസിത് എന്നിവരാണ് ടീമിക് ഇടം പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ജൂൺ ആദ്യ വാരമാണ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ടീം റഷ്യയിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നത്.
